We were delighted to receive our approvals certificate for 2019. We have been an approved livery yard for the last 7 years, which means we are inspected annually on two occasions throughout the year. The first one is an arranged visit where a detailed inspection takes place with the focus being on animal welfare and health and safety. The whole livery is inspected from stabling, all areas around the yard and field inspections to check areas such as our grazing, fencing and general animal welfare within the fields, human and equine first aid, fire safety policies, risk assessments, accident logging and ride out books, passport checks, contracts and vaccination to list a few of the things! A second unannounced inspection also takes place at the inspectors convenience to ensure the strategies are being implemented. This gives us peace of mind that we do all we can to make sure our livery is hitting the mark in providing a top quality service.
