Going through a wide range of weather patterns in the last few weeks has certainly thrown up some challenges for our clients. Keeping  a horse in the winter is hard work but on the plus side, means we get a big dose of fresh air and exercise which is fantastic for our well being. Whilst our non horsey friends may be tucked up by the fireside, we pull on the wellies and embrace the weather, whatever it throws at us. Embracing the elements surely makes us more resilient.  The torrential and relentless rain has meant that riders are less likely to go on long winter hacks through our amazing county side tracks. At least the all year turnout means horses routines aren’t too disrupted. The inclement weather doesn’t have to stop our exercise plans here at Blackfaulds Farm and Livery, near Alloa. As many of you will know, our arena surface has held up superbly well and we couldn’t be more happy with this surface. It has withstood torrential rain and hard frosts and due to the excellent drainage system means riding and exercising happily continues as normal. Happy horses mean happy customers.

Wishing everyone all the very best for the coming year.
